Katarzyna Grochola należy do najpopularniejszych polskich pisarek. Jest też dziennikarką i felietonistką. Jej książki to głównie tzw. literatura kobieca, czyli powieści romantyczne.
Gdy weźmie się do ręki Trzepot skrzydeł i przeczyta kilka pierwszych stron, uderza zupełna zmiana warsztatu literackiego jak i tematyki. Niby to ta sama Grochola, z którą bezskutecznie zmagałem się dotychczas w poprzednich jej książkach, ale jednak inna. W tej powieści widać proces dojrzewania pisarki. Oczywiście bohaterką jest, jak zawsze, kobieta – Hanka. Jednak jej problemy są dużo poważniejsze i mniej wydumane, niż w poprzednich powieściach tej autorki. Świadomie podkreślam tę różnicę, gdyż jest ona najważniejszym wyróżnikiem Trzepotu… Być może wiele kobiet odnajdzie tu obraz własnych problemów i tragedii, jakie rozgrywają się za zamkniętymi drzwiami. Może książka stanie się inspiracją do podjęcia zmian… na lepsze?
Muszę przyznać, że nie należę do miłośników twórczości pani Grocholi. Jak dotychczas nie udało mi się do końca przeczytać żadnej z jej książek, ani obejrzeć filmów nakręconych na ich podstawie. Tym bardziej byłem zdziwiony poziomem tej powieści. Osobiście uważam, że Trzepot skrzydeł to pierwsze w miarę dojrzałe dzieło tej autorki. Dlatego warto je przeczytać.
