Magdalena Kozak została już określona tygrysicą współczesnej literatury fantasy. Bardzo agresywnie, a jednocześnie z dużym wdziękiem „wdarła się” na polski rynek wydawniczy. Choć z zawodu jest lekarką, to pasjonuje ją broń i skoki spadochronowe.
Nikt to trzecia powieść opisująca przygody Vespera. Młody wampir wciąż jest zagubiony w świecie złożonej wampirzej polityki. Ciągle nie wiadomo po czyjej stronie jest racja i kto mówi prawdę. Renegaci czy Lord Utor? Mimo szybkich awansów Vesper nadal pozostaje tylko pionkiem na szachownicy. Trzeba przyznać, że porównania do prawdziwej ludzkiej polityki nasuwają się w czasie lektury tej książki bardzo często. Zwolennicy jednej partii wierzą, że to oni reprezentują prawdę. Podobnie myślą ich przeciwnicy. Ostatecznie zawsze okazuję się, że świat nie jest czarno-biały. Przekonuje się o tym również bohater powieści. Skoro tak, to po której stronie powinien się opowiedzieć? Czy poświęcić miłość dla Sprawy? Wszystko komplikuje się jeszcze bardziej, gdy pojawia się wspólne zagrożenie – watykańscy, którzy potrafią przemienić wampira z powrotem w człowieka. Po takiej przemianie nie ma już powrotu do nieśmiertelności.
Tak samo jak poprzednie części, tak i tę czyta się bardzo szybko. Często następują zwroty akcji i… muszę przyznać, że spodziewałem się mniej więcej takiego zakończenia jakie nastąpiło. Mimo to książka nie rozczarowuje. Pisarka wprowadziła kilka elementów, które jednak były dla mnie zaskoczeniem i nie dało się ich do końca przewidzieć. Polecam wszystkim miłośnikom dobrej fantastyki.
